For those of you who know me, I am a passionate entrepreneur. I started Deelish Brands with a mission of bringing some of the world’s most loved and fastest growing brands to Southeast Asia. I also wanted to create a brand that embraces openness and tolerance and celebrates diversity.
Fatburger Singapore embodies these ideals. We use only fresh ingredients with no additives or preservatives. Our ingredients are expensive but we will never compromise quality for profit. Our food is always cooked to order because we care about what goes into your body as much as you do.
So that everyone can enjoy our food, we have been halal since the day we opened. Deelish Brands will only focus on halal supply chains in any of our projects. I am now pleased to announce that both our Fatburger locations are MUIS Halal Certified.
Our ingredients have not changed since the day we opened. Fresh food may taste different from day to day because it’s not loaded with chemicals. It comes the way nature gives it to us and we love it that way.
However, one recent customer expressed anger upon learning we have become halal certified. The customer loved the food before our certification, but hated it after, despite the fact that nothing has changed. I’ve even been threatened with a lawsuit. This deeply saddens me for many reasons. But I will not deviate from my mission. It only motivates me further.
Because that’s just one person. There are thousands of others that are wonderful and supportive, from all walks of life, that love Fatburger. I appreciate you from the bottom of my heart. You make the hard work worth it.
