Work in a straight line. They understand how to get from where they are, to where they want to go. They do this without diversion. They do this without distraction. They go to great pains to ensure that everything they do is taking them in that direction. A direction that is aligned with the company. A great part of this is that they understand why they are doing the things that they are doing.
Have persistence. They do what needs to be done, day in and day out, on a consistent basis. It’s a must for them. They do it without excuses. They have developed the right habits in their life to ensure whatever the job they are assigned, it will get done. No matter what else is happening in their lives, they will make the time.
Build momentum. They are never overwhelmed. They break down big jobs into small, bite sized steps. Accomplishing these steps gives them victory after victory, making it easier for them to succeed. They understand that success or failure don’t just happen. They are not overnight events. They build over time.
Bounce back. They understand how to hit the reset button when things don’t go as planned. They understand that the way you think creates your reality. This enables them to work in a straight line, have persistence and stay focused on their goals.
Ask for help. The people that I am looking for are team players. They not only ask for help, but they give help to others when they need it. They believe in the greater good and not in individual glory. When the company succeeds, we all succeed together.
